The medieval bridge of Ponte da Barca was built at the beginning of the 16th century and restored in the years 1761 and 1896 to save the Lima River.
This monumental bridge presents ten arches on the top of strong pillars. The two central arches show the changes made in the 18th century and the rest remain as their original structure.
