Visit the cosmopolitan village of Porto Moniz, in the northern end of Madeira.

Porto Moniz is and amazingly cosmopolitan village for being located in the northern end of Madeira. This is mainly because of the restaurant hotel which hosts tourists who then go all over the island.
In front of the hotel you will find some amazing natural pools which have been enlarged to have an area of warm baths of marine water.
The city of Porto Moniz also has interesting places such as the Centro de Ciência Viva Centre and the Aquário da Madeira Aquarium.
After you leave behind the city, the road goes up, zigzagging along the great slope of the hill which dominating the village. Here you will find two amazing overlooks that offer some impressive views.
