Visit this little town located beside the lively Albufeira de Caniçada Lagoon and practice your favourite water sport surrounded by the purest nature.

Rio Caldo is a small village located next to the impressive Albufeira de Caniçada. Because of this, is considered to be the centre of aquatic sports of the Peneda Gerês Natural Park.
In the Albufeira de Caniçada Lagoon is possible to rent kayaks, pedal or row boats, and even little motorboats. It is also possible to practice wakeboarding, an activity similar to water-skiing but with a board.
In the surroundings of the lagoon you will find numerous guesthouses and even a luxurious Pousada (inn) known as Pousada do Gerés-Caniçada.
Another of the interesting places of this little city is the Santuario de São Bento da Porta Aberta.
