The Teatro Garcia de Resende was built in Évora by local elites. Opened in 1892, its outer facade contrasts with the rich and eclectic interior, Italian and Revivalist in style. It has also Naturalistic paintings on the ceiling.

The resident company here is CENDREV which also perform many other shows in Évora.
