The Convent of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, or Convent of Remedios, is located next to the Porta de Alconchel Door, in ÉvoraPortugal

It is a religious house founded in 1606 by D. Teotónio de Bragança, who was archbishop of Évora. Created for the friars of the Order of Discalced Carmelite, its main facade is adorned with the founder’s ecclesiastical crest, as well as a statue in marble of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios.

Its inside houses the Interpretative Centre Megalithica Ebora, providing a permanent space for exhibitions about the Megalithic and the Roman periods, very important for the city.

The church is considered as one of the richest in art of all the city. A Baroque-Rococo in style Golden carving stands out on its interior.
