Fóia, Monchique

See the Algarve from its highest place, the summit of Fóia.

The summit of Fóia is, with 902 meters high, the highest point of Algarve. The imposing summit is located 8 Km West from Monchique.

The road leads to the summit through eucalyptus and pine trees, offering amazing views of the surrounding mountains. On the road, it is usual to find spicy chicken stalls (with piri-piri).

From the summit of Fóia you will enjoy of fabulous views. In clear days, you can see the western Algarve, the Cape of São Vicente and Odeceixe.
