The Gallery do Pelourinho, opened in 2004, is a space destined to host relevant cultural events, specially contemporary art exhibitions, promoting and stimulating the practice of new talents that have been growing in the national artistic landscape.

This gallery answered to the need of having an alternative space to the Museu Municipal de Óbidos museum.
