Grande Beach © Vitor OliveiraThe Grande Beach is the biggest beach in Sintra and it’s considered one of the biggest surf and bodyboard destinations in the world. This beach belongs to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
This beach usually has strong currents and waves so you should be careful while bathing.
Besides the balnear attractiveness, this beach also has another interesting feature. Dinosaur footprints from the cretaceous marked on this beach’s rocks. These footprints have more than 110 million years and constitute a set of 66 prints from a two legged animal.
