The antique gunpowder factory is located in Barcarena, Oeiras. It functioned between 1540 and 1940.

At the interior of the complex which belonged to the old factory many different cultural complexes where incorporated as the Black Gunpowder Museum, an art gallery, a restaurant, a bar with live music, different and beautiful gardens and even different outdoor spaces which house live music.
