The façade of the Igreja de Santa Maria Church is covered with tiles. It is a Protestant church in Neo-Baroque longitudinal plan, composed by a presbytery, a side chapel and a bell tower.
The church was built in 1886, on the same site of the Church of Santa Maria do Castelo. It houses gilded and carved altarpieces in Neo-Rococo and Neoclassical style.
