The Jardins do Palácio de Cristal (Crystal Palace Gardens) are located in an cliff west of the historical area of Porto.

The lush park features a vaulted sports pavilion, a high-tech municipal library, and several paths lined with trees from which to get amazing views of the Douro river.

The gardens have several clearly separated thematic areas. It’s worth highlighting the area of herbs, medicinal plants, and “Jardin dos Sentimentos” (Feelings Garden).

If you visit the area don’t miss the Museu Romântico (Romantic Museum), an interesting and nearby place.
