The Mercy Church dates back to the beginning of the XVII century, having been property of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Peniche.

This church hosts an old hospital with uncommon decoration with tile panels from the XVII century, oil paintings, some of them of wide dimension, decorated walls with scenes from biblical events and an adorned roof with painting scenes of the Life and Christ Passion.
