The Nature Park of Noudar is located in Barrancos, in the Alentejo region, right on the border with Spain.

This park preserves a protected environment in which agriculture and forestry are developed with a deep respect for the ecosystem.

The park delimits in the north with the Ardila River and in the south with the Ribeira de Múrtega Bank. The Castle of Noudar is located on its centre.There you will find one of the best viewpoints in the whole region.

Its vegetation variety makes this place an ideal habitat for deer and wild boar. This nature park attracts many birds species like the black vulture, black stork, crane, common chiffchaff or rufous-tailed scrub robin.

Before you start the tour it is recommendable to visit the Interpretation Centre, located on the Monte da Coitadinha hill. This centre provides information about various tours and routes, and it has a restaurant and a specialized library
