Peniche is a coastal city flooded by culture, traditions and notable natural resources. This city is identified as being located on a peninsula with 10 kilometers of perimeter.

The most extreme point of this peninsula is known as the Carvoeiro Cape. Near the Peniche coast there’s one of the most beautiful natural reserves in Portugal, the Berlenga Island.

The principal monuments are the Peniche Fort, the Carvoeiro Cape, the Rosário Fountain and the São João Batista Fortress on the island of Berlenga.
