The Portas do Sol are two monumental Medieval doors raised over the walls of the old Moorish citadel which offer the best views of the Tajo of the whole city of Santarém.

Beside them is set up the Portas do Sol Garden, which counts with various routes which make this area a shadowed place, ideal for picnicking or relaxing in the afternoon. In the inside of the garden you will also find a little restaurant.
