Sines Museum

Visit the Museum of Sines, located in the interior of the recently restored old Castle.

The Museu de Sines (Sines Museum) was opened in 2008. It contains a dynamic exhibition about the 20th century in Sines regarding its history, ethnography and development.

At this modern museum you might even find and exhibition about the most significative pieces of the archaeological heritage from this region, as the famous Gaio Treasure and the Visigothic stones.

At the Vasco da Gama House, a part of the museum, you might discover a set of multimedia equipments where you will be able to see the biography of Vasco da Gama, the places where he lived in this castle, and the importance of his achievements to Mankind’s History.
