Vila Nova de Foz Côa is a small town located in the Douro Region, northern Portugal.

The town became popular during the 90s when it was found that there was a vast collection of paleolithic art formed by thousands of stone engravings.

The Vila Nova de Foz Côa tourism office features interesting free brochures that will guide you along the archeological sites.
