Discover the famous English Cemetery, in the city of Elvas, Portugal.

This cemetery was built in the beginning of the 19th century to be the burial site for the English people who died during the Peninsular War, because they couldn’t be buried in catholic churches.

This construction has five tombs and several memorials of the English soldiers that died in La Albuera and Badajoz between 1811 and 1812.
