The Renda de Bilros Museum is located in the centre of the town of Peniche, Portugal.
In this interesting museum, part of the Network of Municipal Museums, you can learn more about one of the most important crafts in Peniche in ancient times, bobbin lace, an important sign of cultural identity of the region that will undoubtedly surprise you.
Walk through its rooms and learn about the history of this 400-year-old art form since its beginning, through the real works of art on display, such as its textiles and jewellery, many of which have been donated by the inhabitants of Peniche.
A clear example of the importance of its practice is that every year the Mostra Internacional de Rendas de Bilros is held in the municipality of Peniche, an event at European level that pays tribute to this beautiful work.
