Lisbon’s zoo is a place of conservation and preservation of many species, worldwide recognized for the quality of its habitats as well as for the development and impact on threatened species conservation.

The Zoo is the perfect place to spend an amusing day in contact with animals and nature from all over the world in a fun and pedagogical way.

Nowadays Lisbon’s Zoo has more than 2000 animals among reptiles, mammals, birds, amphibians and arthropods.

Lisbon’s Zoo was created in 1884 and it was replaced two times until it found its permanent installments in Sete Rios, Lisbon.

Apart from the animal and plant variety, you’ll find a cable car which will allow you to take a trip around the park with a privileged view over the zoo, watch one of the numerous dolphins and sea lion’s shows on the Dolphin’s Bay, observe exotic birds on the Rainbow Park, watch one of the birds on full-flight shows at the Enchanted Forest, watch the feeding of the pelicans, watch snakes and lizards’ shows or even visit one of the best reptile collections on the world on the famous reptilarium, after crossing a bridge over the crocodile lake.
