Shaped like a swimming animal, the islet Ilhéu da Praia rises opposite the town of Praia, on Graciosa Island, Azores.

It is an important natural reserve and a special protection area for seabirds that nidify in the islet: turds, garajaus, alma-de-mestre (Oceanodroma castro).

Undoubtedly, the best place to observe it is the lighthouse of Praia.
