Cedros is located in the heart of the septentrional coast of Faial Island, where also are the Praia do Norte, Ribeirinha, and Salão beaches.
The coast of the island creates here many tiny fishing ports that take advantage of the mouths of the ribeiras and the lava formations.
In this town, you shouldn’t miss the Gothic church, from which only the bell tower remains after the rest collapsed during a fire.
lso visit the ethnology collection, composed of farming tools, furniture pieces, and daily objects located in a traditional characteristic home in the Azores style.
To the west of Cedros, you will find a couple of outlooks from where to see the cliffs of Ribeira Funda and Ribeira das Cabras Bay.
Seven kilometres to the east of Ribeirinha, you can find a town with a Neo-gothic 1935 church.
