The Capilla do Corpo Santo Chapel was built in the 15th century and is currently one of the few buildings of that century which lasted until our present day.

This chapel was built thanks to the devotion of the fishermen by the area of Funchal and it is dedicated to São Telmo, patron saint of the fishermen. It has a linear floor, with a gabled façade and interior decoration in Manueline style.
