The Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora do Rosário Mother Church was built in the 18th century, although it was rebuilt during the 19th century and it restored in the 20th.

This church has two towers with hemispherical domes and a main body.

On its interior hosts a statue of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, considered as the one with the greatest artistic level of the island.
